I've been really busy cleaning the upstairs of my house It's been long over due & I really need to get it done.


My latest cross stitch piece is taking so much longer than I thought it would. I've had to go back on some medicine that mucks with my vision, and trying to do any stitching when my eyes are really blurry is nearly impossible. So it'll be a while before I get it done.



This weeks deviants are *drum roll please*

She's a fractal artist that I just adore. I love the colours she chooses to use & she's a master at creating feathers The fact that she's a wonderful person & friend is a bonus!

His traditional artwork is dark, emotional & moody. He's new to DA & I anxiously await his next submissions Please give Tau's gallery a few minutes of your time.

Someone I love very much died a few hours ago She was sick for a long time. She's not suffering any longer & for that I am truly grateful.

She led a sad life. She never got a break & suffered a great deal at the hands of others. I wish she had been happier. She was such a wonderful person & one of my favourite family members. I'm gonna miss her desperately.

I don't know why I'm writing this here, I guess I just need to vent.
I think I'll make something in her honour.

It's been an interesting few days. Just before the weekend set in, I sat in my comp chair & it broke. Resulting in my falling backward & hitting my head pretty hard on the ledge behind me (there's a 1/2 wall right behind my chair)
My back hit the wall part & OUCH I've pretty much had a nasty headache since & you don't wanna even know how sore I am. Just what I needed, another clunk to my head And before anyone asks, no, it did not knock a bit of sense into me!

My friends have been worried about me & have been coming over almost every night, which is great We order all kinds of food & eat ourselves silly while bashing the male population

Everything else is just rolling along.

Now for the really interesting stuff.

Last week was a week from hell, and I since I hadn't made a new journal entry last Sunday like I had planned, I decided to keep the old up for another week & start fresh today.

My Dad was in the hospital & I lost a friend that I cared very much about due to a dirty trick that was played on me & spilled over onto him. Sometimes everything just sucks.
Enough about my woes

I started reading HBP Finally!
Mine came on Friday, but my Stepdad never bothered to tell me that I had a parcel. So I didn't realize it had arrived til Saturday morning
Anyway, I'm reading it at last! Albeit slowly

Now for this weeks features.

First up is His photographs of the Brazilian people & the conditions they have to live in are real eye-openers. His photos are being publish in a book about the Brazilian encampments. Looking at his work makes me very grateful for every little thing I have
